HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE MAYPOLE

Located in the historic and picturesque market town of Thaxted, The Maypole is a traditional pub serving a great selection of real cask ales, lagers, wine, cocktails and spirits.

Our beautiful courtyard garden is perfect for a cold beer on a summer’s day, and two covered and comfortable areas (The Cosy and The Snug) will keep you dry. Dogs are welcome!

We serve delicious home cooked food six days a week from a traditional pub menu, and it’s always best to phone ahead to book a table if you plan to dine with us – 01371 831599.

ENTERTAINMENT AT THE MAYPOLE

We love to entertain, and we’re keen for The Maypole to become THE place to go!

Hosting live music entertainment on the last Saturday of every month, this includes local bands, singers from further afield and some amazing tribute acts. Sometimes our events are ticket only, but the majority are free entry. Occasionally we will host karaoke, and this is mainly on a Bank Holiday Sunday night.

We are also famed for our unique Quiz with a difference, which is held on a Sunday night every six weeks or so. Places go fast, so book nice and early!
